Tristan Nunez has re-written racing’s “youngest” record book. At age 15, Nunez became the youngest driver to ever claim a podium in the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites powered by Mazda. At age 16, he became the youngest pole sitter, race winner and eventually the youngest sports car champion when he secured the overall 2012 championship with 11 wins, 12 poles, and seven track records. Additionally, he was awarded the 2012 Team USA Scholarship, going on to win the Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone. For 2013, he was selected as a factory MAZDASPEED Motorsports Driver in GRAND-AM for SpeedSource in addition to competing in ALMS for Performance Tech Motorsports. Be became the youngest class winner in both ALMS & GRAND-AM in 2013 while also becoming the youngest professional racecar driver to comepte at the Indanapolis Motor Speedway! IN 2014, he was again named a factory driver for Mazda Motorsports / SpeedSource, driving the #7 Mazda SKYACTIV diesel prototype in the TUDOR United Sportscar Championship
